enable children to
laugh again with play therapy
Play and Creative Arts Therapy is the ideal therapy when working with children. It is a child's natural medium of self expression and enables them to make sense of the world around them. It can bring about a calm and happier state resulting in a child that is not acting out their emotions by lashing out at you, or their siblings.
They will be more able to communicate successfully with you and the rest of the family.
This has a huge impact on the whole dynamics of the family and can be the adjustment required to get back to being a 'happy family'.
Play Therapy can be used with more than one child in a group situation say with siblings, or on an individual basis.

Play Therapy in Schools
It was Piaget who believed that a happy child makes a more productive student. Children learn with eagerness and natural curiosity when they are happy within themselves. A child that does not care about him or herself does not tend to care about the environment, or the people around them enough to be able to make an effective contribution within the world of school.
Jackie is available for play therapy in schools working closely with the school as well as the parents and children. For more information please click on the link at the top of the page.

Annie is a different child, now more able to express her feelings calmly without lashing out at her siblings. She is a pleasure to be around and a lot less unpredictable. She is making friends at school and has stopped attacking other children.

My pre-teen son was struggling to deal with some unfortunate life events, he was often sullen and uncooperative, had mood swings and sudden tantrums, which was out of character for him. Now he is better able to cope, doesn't keep bursting into tears and his relationships with family members are improved.
